When we think of a diary we imagine a book with pages inside, it opens and it closes, we can see it in our minds eye and most of our imaginings will be fairly similar. What about we think about a diary as a concept, and what would that look like. A diary can tell a story of how you where to how you are now, It could be you it could be someone else, animal or thing. It could be the transition of colours in the Autumn from emerald greens to ocher reds and brown. It could be the overlaying suggestion of movement. It can be nature or machine. How ever this is interpreted the material boundaries are the same for all artists,

Als we aan een dagboek denken, stellen we ons een boek voor met pagina’s erin, dat open en dicht kan. We kunnen het voor ons zien en de meeste van onze voorstellingen zullen daar vrijwel hetzelfde over zijn. Maar wat als we een dagboek als concept beschouwen, hoe zou dat er dan uitzien? Een dagboek kan een verhaal vertellen over hoe je was en hoe je nu bent. Het kan over jou gaan, over iemand anders, een dier of een voorwerp. Het kan de overgang van herfstkleuren weergeven, van smaragdgroen naar okerrood en bruin. Het kan de suggestie van beweging weergeven. Het kan de natuur of een machine zijn. Hoe dit ook wordt geïnterpreteerd, de materiële grenzen blijven voor alle kunstenaars hetzelfde.
